Privacy

This site has no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising, and sets no cookies. It loads no scripts, fonts or images from third-party servers. Nothing you do here is reported to anyone.

The contact form

If you send us a message, we process the name, email address, organisation and message you provide, for one purpose: to read it and reply. The lawful basis is legitimate interest, specifically responding to an enquiry you chose to send us.

The message is delivered to our Proton Mail mailbox over Proton's SMTP service. We also store, on the server this site runs on, a single record of the enquiry containing the name, email, organisation and message you provided, together with the IP address the message was sent from. The IP address is recorded for abuse prevention and rate limiting, so the form cannot be used to spam us or flood our mailbox. We keep that record, IP address included, for as long as the business conversation is live, and up to 24 months afterwards, then delete it.

Separately, our web server keeps standard request logs for security and abuse prevention. These are kept for 30 days.

Who else sees it

Proton AG (Switzerland), which provides our email — both delivering the form message and hosting the mailbox it lands in. Nobody else. We do not sell, share or transfer your data to anyone, and we do not use it to train anything.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or erase it, or object to our processing of it. Write to yaro@lohmustech.fi and we will action it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman.
