Track record

Lõhmus Tech Oy is new. The experience behind it is not.

Everything below is work I have done: as an employee, as a consultant, and on ventures I founded and part-own. Almost none of it was solo, and none of it was a contract of Lõhmus Tech Oy. It is here because it is the experience this company is built on.

Atmos Group Finland

Consultant, now co-owner

Medical, air-gapped

Built an air-gapped system for tracking the sterilization cycles of surgical instruments, deployed into each hospital's own virtualization stack rather than a shared cloud. It integrates with autoclaves and with portable scanners and cameras, and it has to clear vigorous testing before every release.

Nobody can simply shell into a hospital's air-gapped network to see what went wrong. So the infrastructure heals itself, and it records anonymized event snapshots that can be collected and replayed on a separate instance, reconstructing step by step what actually happened. Every component is validated with an SBOM for auditing, from software packages up through container images to the Kubernetes manifests, so it is always possible to say exactly what was deployed.

I built it as a consultant before Lõhmus Tech Oy, and I am now a co-owner, steering the work rather than doing the hands-on development.

Bookkeri

Co-founder, all technical

bookkeri.fi

Co-founded bookkeri.fi, and I am its entire technical side: a live service that has held 99.99% availability over the last year while serving tens of thousands of active users, on an event-driven architecture that autoscales with load. I built it, and I keep it running.

St1

Cloud architect, team lead

Nordic energy

Led a team covering AI, DevOps, software, integrations and architecture. Ran cloud and on-premise infrastructure, drove the company's transition to GitOps, and built the operational automation around it. Owned cost optimisation through FinOps practice, and was system owner for multiple internal platforms and tools. Hired and grew the team.

Earlier, as a consultant to the same organisation, built distributed self-healing microservices.

Nordic real estate group

Software engineer, consultant

Greenfield CRM

A greenfield CRM for realtors, built to gamify the sales pipeline. It aggregates data from the separate systems a realtor already works in and builds a single layer on top, so the path from lead to closed sale is one place to work rather than several.

Suomen Rahapaja

Backend and ML, consultant

Mint of Finland

Built and ran the backend for Suomen Rahapaja's coin-collector app, serving hundreds of thousands of collectors around the world. Owned the delivery pipelines that shipped it, and maintained the machine learning pipeline behind the camera: point a phone at a coin, and the model recognises and categorises it.

Electricity and energy provider

Payment architecture, consultant

Consulted on payment architecture.

Consultancy internal platform

Software engineer

Built internal tooling that tracked unbilled hours and notified the people responsible. It reduced waste and recovered revenue that had previously been written off.

Vierumäki

Backend developer, consultant

Built reservations backend systems for tennis courts, hotel rooms, sporting equipment and classes, integrating the public website with the hotel ERP.

Own hosting company

Founder and operator

Ran a hosting business: WordPress sites for multiple clients on self-hosted infrastructure, custom plugin and theme development, and hosted email infrastructure for other clients.

Underneath all of it, a Proxmox virtualization platform that I built and ran myself. This is where the specialisation started. Everything since has been a larger version of the same question: what happens when it is your own hardware, and there is nobody else to call.

Ask me how any of this applies to your constraint.
